The Technology Adoption Process
Getting people to accept new technology can be a real challenge. The process often takes place during initial installation and implementation, as new systems come online. Yet getting buy-in should start much earlier, at the planning stage, with input from the people who will use or interact with the new technology. Supporting technology adoption early on, beginning with users themselves, makes the transition to the new technology much easier.
Automation and Digital Transformation
Automation and digital transformation are hard for many people to fully understand, let alone accept, without support. This is because full adoption of automation and digital technologies requires a different mindset than legacy systems. Frontline employees need to fully understand how these new technologies will affect the company, its products and services, processes, and work roles across the organization. Treating the transition to automation and/or digital systems as a culture change process is the surest way to manage the transition successfully.
